Sculpting a Monster Video

March 10, 2011 by admin

This monster took about two hours to sculpt from Sculpey brand modeling compound.    The armature is coat hanger wire and foil.   Baking time in our home oven–45 minutes.   Painted it with acrylics.

My son Daniel shot and edited the video.  Nice work, Daniel!

Seeing the expressions on your face as your sculpting is priceless – “The Face of Art”. It’s also interesting to see the confidence with which you mold your pieces – particularly the foil. It’s obvious that you know what you’r trying to achieve and how you will achieve it. It’s a delightful look at how you make your vision physical.

Daniel also did a good job on the video. It looked like a good collaboration between artists!
